  • Content should be created only after keyword research
  • Topic should be niche and not too broad
  • Content should be relevant to the keywords being targeted
  • Create engaging headlines to attract attention – targeting search engine
  • Using image and video to lower bounced rate
  • High quality content -no grammar mistakes, no spelling mistakes
  • Write your content for humans, not search engines
  • Don’t try to hard sell in your webpages – try to make it balance – more positive than negative


Simple Webpage Designing Rules

  1. Never use a ‘splash’ page. It is a road block.
  2. Website design clearly reflects the topic or theme (color, images, background, etc).
    • Search on color psychology to know what color to use for your website
  3. Keep a simple navigational menu and clearly labeled
  4. Display only relevant website header. Avoid “Welcome to our site” which doesn’t tell the visitors what the page is about. Get straight to the point!
  5. Make sure the webpage is scan-able. Visitors don’t read word for word. Use sub-headers, bulleted list, and paragraphs. For example: words in bold, bullet points then get a 3rd party to do a review on your webpage
  6. Use one <H1> on heading and <H2> for sub-headings on relevant keywords
  7. Do not forget the <meta> tags in every webpages.
    • Meta Title – not more than 70 characters
    • Meta Description – about 150 characters
    • Meta Keywords – not more than 60 words
  8. Total size of webpage/every page should be less than 100KB (Kilobytes). Smaller the better.
    • The total size including pictures, everything! Firefox there’s plugin that tells you the size of the page.

  9. Not more than 100 hyperlinks per page. Use as little as possible.
    • Google tends to ignore anything that has more than 100 hyperlinks (search engine view/read by left to right not top to bottom)
  10. No fanciful flashes and iframes.
    • Search engine will ignore <iframes> is like YouTube (webpage embedded a webpage).
  11. Moderate graphics. Avoid high resolution images. Use “Alt” tag and keyword in graphics filename.
  12. Avoid resizing graphics. Create exact graphics size/dimension.
    • Use Canvakala plugin will help you with it.
  13. Do not overload with advertisements.
    • Google allows to put 3 ads only. If you put a lot of ads, it doesn’t mean you will make more money. You need to test for hotspot where the visitors will click on the ads.
    • Install Revive Adserver
      It fit ads or product and track the “hotspot” to count the clicks on ads. You MUST do your OWN TESTING to know where is your website hotspot.
  14. No hyperlinking to external websites. If necessary, use “nofollow” tag. This to avoid manipulating the search engine.
  15. Keep the website to as fewer levels as possible to avoid losing too much page ranking (PR). Every additional level loses 1 PR.
  16. Ensuring keywords in title, URL, text and anchor text
  17. Avoid keyword stuffing
  18. Keep keyword density to less than 5% (3-5% keyword, semantic keywords) – Google searches will show semantic keywords at the bottom; use only related ones to put into our contents (maybe write a paragraph using semantic keywords)
